Prime Minister Rama has led Albania since 2013 and the Socialist Party since 2005. Before assuming premiership, he served as Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports, and then as Mayor of Tirana for three consecutive terms. He is also an established painter with exhibitions around the world, and previously played professional basketball for Dinamo Tirana and the Albanian national team.
