Rhythms of Resistance and Resilience is a compelling photographic exhibit inspired by Professor Maurice Jackson’s groundbreaking book, Rhythms of Resistance and Resilience: How Black Washingtonians Used Music and Sports in the Fight for Equality. This exhibit explores the powerful intersection of culture, community, and activism, showcasing how Black Washingtonians wielded music and sports as vital tools in their struggle for civil rights and social justice.
