Career assessments can help you identify your unique interests, strengths, personality, and values. While no test will provide definitive answers about what career to pursue, they can be helpful as tools to guide your choices.

Career Exploration Programs and Websites
Type Focus is an online career exploration program that helps you discover how personal preferences relate to careers, along with comprehensive occupational descriptions. Contact Career Services for the access code.

Career Services connects you with job and internship opportunities and hosts events where you can learn about careers and meet employers.
Career Events on Campus
The Career Center holds events throughout the semester that help students navigate relevant career fields. These workshops include resume writing, cover letters, mock interviews, and information sessions with employers from the government, non-profit, and private sectors.

Student Employment Opportunities
Both on-campus jobs and off-campus opportunities are shared with students via email as they become available.
Academic Internships
GU-Q partners with organizations in Doha to provide academic internship programs for our students. Students work 10-15 hours per week at a partner organization doing substantive work under the guidance of a mentor at the organization. In addition, students will be registered for INAF-335 International Affairs Internship for one credit, graded on a pass/fail basis.
You may be able to get external funding through Georgetown or other sources to pursue unpaid internships. Check out our funding resources or apply to the GU-Q Experiential Learning Fund.

- On-campus events – Attend the annual Career Fair and other networking events
