Olgahan Çat is Assistant Professor of International Politics at Georgetown University in Qatar.
Previously, he was Visiting Assistant Professor of Quantitative Methods in Political Science at Brown University. His research focuses on migration, forced displacement, security, and political behavior. He examines how identity and belonging shape attitudes toward immigrants and refugees and uses quantitative methods to study the political and social consequences of migration. His work has appeared in International Studies Quarterly and PNAS Nexus.
He received his PhD in Government from the University of Texas at Austin.
