About Georgetown University in Qatar

For more than 20 years, Georgetown University’s Qatar campus has served as the university’s gateway to the world.

Honoring the past, shaping the future

With knowledge and service at our core, Georgetown University in Qatar has built bridges, fostered meaningful dialogues, and shaped leaders who are making their mark in Qatar and beyond.

Our roots in foreign service run deep. Building on the 200-year history of Georgetown’s DC campus, GU-Q was established in 2005 in partnership with Qatar Foundation. We offer programs in international affairs that combine Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service curriculum with a unique location at the intersection of East and West.
