Welcome to GU-Q’s Fall Model United Nations Program.

Conference Theme, Background Guides, and Committee Information will be updated shortly

November 5-7, 2026

Please note that this conference is ONLY open to high school students in Qatar.

About

We invite interested schools in Qatar to apply for a team of up to 18 student delegates to the conference. The conference will not interfere with school timings.

Delegates

Each school may apply to send upto FOUR delegations, or 24 students per school. However, due to space limitations, we cannot guarantee four delegations for each school. Placements will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Individual delegates can register for individual representation, provided their school has no objection to them participating independently from their school team. If your school team is not participating, you may apply directly as an individual delegate without seeking approval from your school.

Committee and Country Allocations

Please note that committee and country allocations will be sent to the school counselors on first-come, first-served basis. We encourage schools to apply as soon as possible to secure their spots! Delegates are required to research both the country they will represent at the conference, as well as the specific topics to be debated in their assigned committee. All committees at the conference are chaired by Georgetown University in Qatar students.

Fees

  • QAR 275/student for school delegates (QAR 1650/delegation of 6 students and free for advisors)
  • QAR 350/student for independent delegates

Registration

Pre-registration is required. Please note that we do not accept new registrations on the day of the conference.

A large audience sits in a modern auditorium with a curved, glowing ceiling, watching a panel discussion on stage. A presentation screen displays a logo and Arabic and English text for Qatar University.

“We live in a world filled with conflicts,” said International History major and 2022 MUN Secretary General Benjamin Kurian, adding that many of these conflicts require direct dialogue and diplomacy to resolve. “MUN trains the students for that.”

Students in a classroom raise placards while a teacher stands at the front near a podium and projector screen. Laptops are open on desks, and the environment appears to be a formal discussion or simulation.

“I remember how much MUN helped me break through my shell in high school, and I love the idea that I could possibly help just one student who needs this boost of confidence, or to make them wonder if they want to pursue a career in politics.”

— Safoura Usmani, 2021 Secretary General

“We are especially proud of our team of 30 Georgetown students who worked tirelessly to put together this conference despite the challenges presented by the pandemic. This conference is a testament to the undying spirit of both Georgetown and high school students in Qatar.”

— Jibin Koshy, Educational Enrichment Manager
