Oualid is a British-Algerian entrepreneur, executive and investor. Starting his career in derivatives banking at the City of London, Oualid has expanded from operational risk management to the wider foreign-direct-investment (FDI) in-country risk, covering the African continent, the Arab Gulf states and Middle East.

He founded the boutique consultancy firm Anzul, specialising in high-yield industries, offering tailored research & due-diligence services to British, American and European investors looking at equity acquisition and joint-ventures within mid-to-high risk African and Arab markets. Selling access & positioning solutions, Oualid has led dozens of projects from the ground, accompanying all cycles of investment and execution on the business side; as well as strategising high-level communications, external relations and branding on the government and institutional sides.
