Certificates

Complement your major with an interdisciplinary certificate program.
Certificates emphasize regional or thematic areas of interest and serve as a blueprint for selecting elective coursework. From gaining expertise on America or the Arab world, to developing skills in energy studies or media and politics, certificates offer evidence that you have conducted significant scholarship and command knowledge of the topic.
Certificates are a great way to enhance your skills and broaden your professional opportunities. For example, a student majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs might choose to pursue a certificate in Arab and Regional Studies to integrate their interests in technology with an understanding of its role in shaping revolutionary forces in the Middle East.
If you are considering a certificate, schedule a meeting with your advising dean to discuss integrating certificate courses into your broader academic goals. Please note that, at most, two combined minors and certificates may be pursued (two minors, one minor and one certificate, or two certificates).
